How to Make Rose Mint Tea At Home

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 sprig of mint (about 7-8 leaves)
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 2~3 g Rose buds
  • ~8 oz. of boiling water

Method Rinse the mint leaves well under running cool water. The goal here is to rid them of any dirt or other debris that might be lingering on the plants, so take your time and make sure that they're clean. Once the leaves are washed, set them aside to let them dry for a couple of minutes.

Brewing Guide

Step 1. Place the dried mint leaves in your teapot or cup.

Step 2. Add boiling water and steep for 3 minutes to draw out all of the flavors from the leaves. Strain the tea into another mug or teapot.

Step 3. Add honey, rosebuds, and the mint leaves (if you like it strong) to your original mug/teapot again, then pour in the strained tea. Mix well for a minute or two until all of the ingredients are combined.

Step 4. Enjoy your delicious cup of rose mint tea! The longer your steep the stronger your tea will be, so experiment a little until you hit your desired flavor.

Serving Suggestions

  • Top with whipped cream and a couple of mint leaves for a beautiful presentation.
  • Garnish with chopped pistachios or almonds for a little extra crunch -Serve with shortbread cookies or tea biscuits for dipping
