What is Yu Zhu?
Yu Zhu is the dried roots of Polygonatum odoratum. It is a Chinese herbal tea that has been used to treat ailments for hundreds of years. It is a common ingredient in Chinese herbal medicine, and it is typically used to treat arthritis, bronchitis, and the common cold.
What are the benefits of Yu Zhu?
The main benefit of Yu Zhu is that it is used to treat the common cold. It does this by breaking up congestion in the body, which makes the symptoms of a cold easier to bear. It is also frequently used to treat bronchitis and arthritis.
How to make Yu Zhu tea?
Step 1. Scoop 1 spoon Yu zhu for about 2~3 g. (The right quantity is up to you, the more you use, the stronger it will taste.)
Step 2. Pour 300 ml of microwave-boiled water into a cup.
Step 3. Wait for about 7 mins to let the tea get cold. (If you want it warm, wait less than 7 mins.) then serve.
Step 4. You can add sugar or honey to taste.
Besides brewing Yu Zhu tea, you can also stew together with chicken and Wolfberry to get nourishing soup.
Side effects of Yu Zhu
Yu Zhu can also be quite harmful if misused. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under the age of 18, you should not drink Yu Zhu tea. Other possible side effects include nausea, diarrhea, and yeast infections. If you have any of these symptoms after drinking Yu Zhu tea, you should see doctors.
