Keemun black tea is the most famous type of black tea in China and is often referred to as "Qimen black tea" or simply "Keemun."
Keemun tea is a light, fruity kind that has notes of smoke in its aroma and flavor. It's not too sweet like some other types and leaves you with an aftertaste similar to unsweetened cocoa powder! The unique thing about this drink? You can find it only near Anhui province where there are hills called "Yellow Mountains" which form part of the grounds for growing Keermuns; plus nearby Yangtze river also plays a key role during the production process because these two factors determine what kinds will grow best here according to their preferences (i.e. temperature, humidity, water level, etc.)
2. How is Keemun black Tea made?
Tea leaves are plucked only once a year during spring. They are made from fine black tea buds and young leaves. If the exposure to the sun is too long, the color of the resulting tea will be slightly reddish or even purplish in appearance which affects its value since it is not as attractive as the original bright green color.
This type of tea is made through the process of withering, rolling, oxidizing, and drying. The leaves are withered to reduce their moisture content. They are then rolled into small balls to expose more surface area to the air. This allows for more oxidation to take place, which gives the tea its characteristic black color. The leaves are then dried in a hot air oven.
The finished tea is a black, twisted leaf with a rich, smoky flavor and woody aroma.

Keemun's shelf life can be extended by keeping it in a dry and dark place, such as an airtight container or a cabinet. However, it is best to consume it within 6 months to 12 months of purchase for the best flavor.
